Bowie Knives are always very popular among knife collectors. 2009 could have been the year of the Bowie Knife at Bark River Knife & Tool. Bark River did 6 or 7 different styles of Bowie Knives this year.
The 2009 8.5 Inch Limited Edition Bowie is a true Sheffield Pattern. The 8.5 Inch blade is Traditionally Convex Saber Ground at just above half Height of the blade to a razor Sharp Cutting Edge. The Sweeping False Grind Helps Throw the Balance of the knife to the Center for a very fast Blade in the hand - just like the originals. The Result is a Traditional Bowie that handles just like the Vintage Examples.
These were run in 3 different handle configurations: Saber, Coffin and Commando.
